Leland Street Elementary School was founded well over 100 years ago. And as the school celebrates its centennial founding, there is one classroom previously known as Room 15 which is now known the world over as O'Dellia. O'Dellia was founded several years ago in honor of Scott O'Dell author of Island of the Blue Dolphins and inhabitant of San Pedro, CA. Our forefather named Chris Miller decided it was time to create a new nation founded on similar Democratic principles as the United States of America. President Miller first conquered the territory known as Room 17 and stayed briefly before being pushed out out of the annex building by the Rodriguez People. Miller was forced to the far reaches of Leland and survived for many years out in the barren and isolated community of Room 20. There he and Queen Siriwardene, of Room 21, formed an alliance of 6th graders. It was this plot of land that Miller grew the principles of democracy and after several peaceful years of leadership was able to negotiate a peaceful transfer of territory from the Ezratitions of Room 15. After several years as the Founding Father of O'Dellia, President Miller retired from office. An election was held and President Salvador Junior Perez became O'Dellia's second president to hold office.
